Under the imprints fireflies fantasy and fireflies media, we develop a game version of the popular youth fantasy trilogy „Wasserfall-Trilogie“ , written by Oliver Jungjohann. We are all aware of the pandemic situation caused by COVID-19, which had a dramatic effect on all the businesses in our region. Due to this situation and its limitations, we had to change our game development plans. Therefore, in summer 2019, we took the opportunity to develop a brand-new security software. Since our websites has been exposed to numerous hacker attacks for many years, we felt compelled to develop a solution for storing totally secured encrypted data archives on cloud storage servers. The development has been successfully completed in 2021. Since then, we have continued to develop our fantasy game project. Learning 3D graphics from scratch is extremely demanding and very time-consuming. Studying tons of tutorials, we gradually achieved success in creating new objects, photogrammetry scans, building whole environments and handling complex tasks. So far, we have been able to complete several key environments. These will be the setting for many scenes in the youth fantasy trilogy. However, Christmas 2023 is no longer a feasible release date. Unfortunately, the remaining tasks are too complex to be completed in the short time available. As soon as some scenes are finished, we will publish first insights into the game development.
